In the life of a master studentOffice-days and great papersAnd sometimes, not so great papers

Wow, it's been very long since I last wrote a blog post. Right now, this week, I'm speeding my time making sense of a paper about extending the Landauer erasure principle to quantum systems. I think, sooner or later, I will be able to publish some stuff about that—like a review paper, but based on one paper rather then many, and including some of my own arguments. At least I will put it out here, on this website, and of course in length and detail in my eventual master thesis.

In the mean time, here are a few papers that I have recently read and enjoyed (gives you some idea what my thesis will contain!). Until later, my dear freely drifting surfer of the web. Have a good one!

A Mathematical Theory of Communication

Information Theory and Statistical Mechanics

Information Theory and Statistical Mechanics II

Logical and Thermodynamic irreversibility

Landauer's original erasure principle
